Stranger: Indeed. It was quite
Stranger: Although I must ask.
Stranger: What was a human, a half orc, and a halfling doing on these roads so late at night?
Xavros: Oh, we’re adventurers.
Xavros: We were rescuing a fair maiden from a demonic ritual!
Xavros: Where is the fair maiden?
Xavros and the stranger with the cart sit in the front of a cart. Behind them, facing the camera, is Thog leaning against the side of the cart. He has his arms behind his hed, and has one eye open as he listens to Xavros excitedly talk to the stranger who is driving the cart.
“It was really quite fortuitous that you drove by, sir,” says Xavros.
Close up of the stranger facing forward with a yellow background. His eys are still obscured, and a piece of hey is clenched between his teeth.
“Indeed. It was quite . . . " the stranger says. “Lucky”.
A forward view of the cart with the stranger and Xavros sitting in the front of the cart. Thog and presumably Horbin are obscured by the wooden frame of the cart. Behind the group, trees loom in the distance.
The stranger faces towards Xavros. “Although I must ask,” says the stranger. “What was a human, a half orc, and a halfling doing on these roads so late at night?”
Xavros meanwhile, leans back on his seat in the cart, his arms resting on the side of the cart, smiling.
Panel 4A far away view of the lighthouse, with a narration box of the stranger saying “Especially near a place as dangerous as the cursed lighthouse?”
Xavros is clearly excited, his eyes wide, and hands out to his side as he explains his purpose.
“Oh we’re adventurers,” says Xavos. “We were rescuing a fair maiden from a demonic ritual!”
Panel 6Close up of Xavros face in front of a dark background. His eyes are wide, pupils small, and his brows are up high, a look of sudden internal panic on his face, as he makes a sudden realization that has escaped his notice up until this point.
Xavros spins back around on his seat in the front of the cart to look down towards the less than impressed Thog.
“Thog!” cries Xavros. “Where is the fair maiden?”
Beside Xavros, the stranger clearly flinches at the mention of the missing maiden.
